THE MINOTAUR WOMAN
Ashford 2009 Street Life Performance This work was part of my Art Degree Show and reflects on stereotype conceptions and ideas related to nationality, myth, gender and culture. As I came to live to UK, even though I had become fluent in English language, my background and accent somehow was in conflict with my surroundings. So, this work is a reflection on communication. "Made in U.K." 'As a statement, whoever said that the Minotaur was a man was probably another man'. |
