M.A.L. Huguet (b. Spain) As a multidisciplinary artist, I combine various forms of art to explore contemporary narratives. My creative process is rooted in curiosity and the observation of everyday life and human emotions, creating accessible works that invite interaction. Interdisciplinarity allows me to tackle complex themes from different perspectives. My goal is for art to generate transformation and connection, provoking emotional responses and critical reflections, while I hope my work resonates with the viewer and invites them to participate Captivated by the representation of people in art from an early age, Huguet pursued her passion for drawing and began her artistic training in the Alabaster Design Industry in northern Spain. She further refined her skills by earning a Master’s Degree in Fine Art in England, enhancing her artistic expression and technique. After completing her studies, Huguet dedicated herself to her studio practice while teaching, allowing her to reassess her artistic vision and explore new directions. Her latest project, "Nurtured by Nature," was showcased at a Kent Art Festival last year, featuring experimental installation, video art, and mixed media. In 2021, she received the Online Solo Exhibition Award from Mundo Arti. Huguet has exhibited in notable galleries across England, including the West Bank Gallery, Menier Gallery, and Brick Lane Gallery, as well as internationally in Amsterdam, Philadelphia, and France. Her video performance "The Human Animal" was featured at the Almería Museum in Spain during an International Experimental Video Art Film Festival and at the Whitstable Biennale in 2012. Huguet's bold and provocative artwork blends multiple disciplines with a distinct style and strong oil painting technique. Original pieces are available for purchase on the website, and her performative works can be viewed on her YouTube channel, making her a captivating choice for art collectors and enthusiasts. |
